The Factors that Influenced Academic Achievement of Students Case study: Rajamangala University of Technology Isan.

Abstract

       This research aims to study the factors that inflence academic achievement of students at Rajamangala University of Technology Isan. There were 2 phases: the fist phase was the analysis of basic statistics. The results of the study showed, that sample 349 students, mostly are female, age 21-25 years old, live with parents, income average 20,001-30,000 baht per month, student’s income on average of 1,001-2,000 baht per month, seek advice from parents, self-study about 2-3 hours daily, Grade Point Average (GPA) between 2.50-3.49. The statistical results of the study indicated the overall learning achievement factors was in high level, and could be arranged from the highest to the lowest as follows: attitude toward learning, achievement motivation, school adjustment, time management and the study habits was in medium level. The second phase was an analysis of the Multiple Regression method by using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) under the Best Linear Unbiased Estimator (BLUE). This research found that the response to learning achievement was the change in study habits and time management which had positive relationship. There was the change in study habits to inflence the response of learning achievement equal to 0.26 and had positive relationship. Also, the change in time management to inflence the response of learning achievement equal to 0.24 and had positive relationship at the signifiance level of 0.05.
